On Friday, July 25, 2025, GTI Corporation Co., Ltd. collaborated with the Sattahip Beach Defender Volunteer Club to host the annual 2025 marine debris cleanup activity under the campaign "GTI SAVE THE SEA – Love the Sea Starts with Us" at Thien Talay Beach, Sattahip Subdistrict, Sattahip District, Chonburi Province.
The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Sompol Yotviriyapanich, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) GTI Corporation Co., Ltd., who presided over the opening ceremony. The activity was attended by the company’s executives and staff, along with Mr. Jakkrapong Kanwaset, President of the Sattahip Beach Defender Volunteer Club, and members of the club.
The event aimed to raise environmental awareness, particularly regarding the issue of marine debris, which is currently one of the most pressing environmental problems impacting coastal ecosystems and marine life. Plastic waste, in particular, is known for being difficult to decompose and can accumulate over long periods. As part of the event, the President of the Volunteer Club gave a talk on the impact of marine debris on coastal ecosystems and marine organisms, and also provided guidance on proper waste collection techniques.
Following the educational session, participants joined together to clean up the beach, collecting a total of 101.6 kilograms of marine debris. Additionally, GTI Corporation donated essential supplies to support the volunteer club’s ongoing environmental conservation efforts and to promote environmental stewardship of the sea and coastline.
GTI recognizes the importance of marine environmental conservation and believes that collaboration from all sectors is a key force in solving the marine debris issue sustainably. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all organizations and individuals who took the time to participate in and support this meaningful event.
